Event Rentals:

We are currently booking for the 2008-2009 event season!


Call or email our Event Rentals Coordinator today to plan your special event! Carolyn Hopkins (650) 948-9427 x12 or chopkins@losaltoshistory.org	The beautifully landscaped Museum grounds are available for anniversary celebrations, musicals, luncheons, reunions, receptions and wedding ceremonies. The Museum public hours are 12 to 4 PM, Thursday through Sunday. During these hours the Museum and grounds are not available for rental.

Event Rental Information Garden and Gallery Features

	Garden Features Seating capacity to 200 Dining capacity to 200 Stand-up capacity to 225 Set-up may commence after 3 PM. Events may begin after 4:30 PM. Available Tuesday through Sunday.
	Museum Gallery Features Theater-style seating capacity to 100 Dining/Reception seating capacity to 90 100 indoor gallery chairs Set-up may begin after 4 PM on the days the Museum is open; earlier on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Museum Gallery can be set for receptions or dining events. Audio is available for live or recorded music.

2007-2008 Rental Rates
Weddings: Mid-April through Mid-October
All Saturdays	$4,000 rental fee $500 application fee $1,000 refundable security deposit
Fridays and Sundays	$3,100 rental fee $500 application fee $1,000 refundable security deposit
3-hour Garden Ceremony: Fridays/Sundays only, or during week by permission; does not include above stated features.	$1,500 rental fee $500 application fee $1000 refundable security deposit
Non-Wedding, Special Occasions
Anniversaries, birthdays, corporate parties, reunions. Does not include Saturdays* (for Saturday events, see above Wedding rates)*	Garden Rental - $250 per hour (four hour minimum) Gallery Rental - $250 per hour (four hour minimum) Kitchen additional $125 per hour $500 application fee $1,000 refundable security deposit

The History Museum complex is admission FREE.

Visitors are welcome to enjoy the gardens even when the house
and museum are closed. Picnic tables are available for lunch under the heritage oaks.

Self-Guided and Docent Tours Available
Explore the main museum on your own or opt for a docent guided tour at no additional charge. The J. Gilbert Smith House requires a docent guide. A free audio tour is available at the Museum Store for the upper level permanent exhibit. Special tours may be scheduled for groups of ten or more. A month’s lead time is required. Please call 650.948.9427, Ext. 89.

We are closed New Year’s Day, Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.
